EventBridge is a serverless event bus. AWS services, your apps, and SaaS tools emit events, and EventBridge routes them to targets like Lambda based on rules you define. It’s the glue for event-driven architectures.

EventBridge vs SNS

Both deliver events, but EventBridge routes by rich content-based rules and integrates with many AWS and SaaS sources — ideal for filtering and routing events from across your environment. SNS is simpler pub/sub fan-out. If the scenario stresses filtering events by content or reacting to AWS service events, that’s EventBridge.

  2. Amazon EventBridge
  3. Amazon Kinesis
  4. AWS Batch
👉 Click to reveal the answer & explanation

Correct answer: B. EventBridge captures AWS service events (like EC2 state changes) and routes them to Lambda based on content-filtering rules. SQS (A) is a queue without event filtering; Kinesis (C) is for data streams; Batch (D) is compute scheduling.
